Small collection of boats that we have imaged with our side scan sonar.

Two out of four sunken boats in one area in Lake Jocassee that we train open water students on. They are in approximately 20 feet of water and we were the first to find them diving.

In Lake Lanier, a 16 foot bass boat with a 90 hp Evinrude that sank out from her owner (who we have yet to locate.) 5 fishing rods with their line out and bags and bags of Zoom fishing lures were found.

A friend of ours knew of a boat that had sunk in Lake Allatoona. Here, we found her in 50 feet of water. Her transom collapsed causing the sinking. The outboard motor is laying on the rear starboard corner. The gas tank is held by the fuel line and hovers six feet over the wreckage.

A rusting 12 foot steel barge in 45 feet of water found close to the wreck above.

Taken from Lake Jocasse, the image in the top is a Chinese Junk made out of teak. The other boat is a fiberglass speedboat with a Christmas tree in its shadow. These were sunk intentionally for divers. The Junk rests in 60 feet (full pool) and is on the edge of a wall that plumets to over 300 feet of water.
